About Us!

The meaning behind Double the Journey

The name Double the Journey is a reflection of everything we love. It’s about giving pre-loved pieces a second journey, breathing new life into forgotten treasures. It’s about our own journey—two best friends who met in an airport and traveled the world together; finding inspiration in every thrift shop, vintage market, and hidden gem we stumbled upon. And if you look closely, you’ll see our initials (D+J) in the name itself, a small reminder that every piece we send out carries a little part of both of us.

Meet Danielle

Hiii!! I'm Danielle, one half of Double the Journey! I'm from Northern Delaware and am a senior at the University of South Carolina. I've loved playing with fashion since a young age and got my first sewing machine for Christmas in 6th grade. I love to craft and create-from fashion to dance choreography, scrapbooking to homemade pasta (my fav!). I started reworking clothes during the 2020 lockdown and fell in love with giving old pieces a second chance. After studying abroad and finding endless inspiration in vintage markets, I knew I wanted to turn that passion into something bigger. Now, Double the Journey is allowing me to share, build, and be a part of the best community ever!

Meet Jocelyn

Heyyy! I'm Jocelyn, the second half of Double the Journey! I'm from Southern Delaware and am in my senior year at the University of South Carolina. I’ve had a passion for art and creation since I was young, taking every art class I could and eventually majoring in Visual Communications! More recently, I’ve brought that love into my fashion and style after seeing the endless possibilities for creativity in European markets. I’m all about being comfy and cozy while still pushing the limits with bold patterns, colors, and textures. Thrifting is my favorite way to find hidden gems—I love spotting potential in pieces others might overlook. I’ve always been super crafty, and I’m so excited that Double the Journey is giving me the chance to share my creativity with all of you!

Why slow fashion matters

We believe in shopping with intention—choosing quality pieces that last and appreciating the individuality of secondhand finds. Every year, millions of pounds of clothing donated to thrift stores still end up in landfills, never getting the second chance they deserve. By reviving pre-loved clothing and accessories, we’re not just reducing waste—we’re keeping fashion in circulation and building a more sustainable future, one rescued piece at a time.
